Our Consultation Process

We understand that our clients have different needs depending on their level of design confidence, budget and experience. Our simple three step process ensures that you are making the most of your design time, and receiving a tailored design package best suited to your project.

Step 1: A free 15 minute discovery call.

This informal chat enables me to introduce us here at McLean & Co, tell you about us and what we do. Then we settle into your project and you can tell me about you, your family and what you require assistance with to ensure your design journey is seamless. From this call, I’ll send you an email within 24 hours with my recommendations, which always include our initial design consultation to begin with.

Step 2: Our initial design consultation - $380.00

This is a 1 - 1.5 hour chat (up to 2 hours, depending on the size of the project), where you introduce me into your home, or meet in the office to visually go through your project step by step. This can be going through your renovation plans, seeing your living space and talking you through how to achieve your design goals, or meeting on your block to discuss drawing up your floor plan. This initial consultation is a crucial piece of the design journey. Much information is shared back and forth from me to you, so you get so much value for money in this one on one session. From here, we can determine the design brief, and scope of work to give you a tailored design package.

Step 3: A tailored design package.

This step can be as vast or as minimal as possible, it can be a design session in a homewares store selecting the correct cushions, throws and art, or it can be weeks of holding your hand through your build journey to ensure nothing is missed and you’re getting exactly what you want out of your project.

This step can include 3D renders, cabinetry sketches, mood boards, FFE schedules to pass onto your builder or just interior advice. Being completely tailored to your project means that you get a personalised service, and your money is well spent on achieving exactly what you want from your space.
